DWTS’ Britt and Emma Reveal Their Dream Celebrity Partners: ‘He’d Win’
“I don’t think he would ever do this, but because I got my start with High School Musical I have to say Zach Efron,” Britt, 35, exclusively told Us Weekly of her perfect celebrity partner while at the season 33 Dancing With the Stars tour in Atlantic City, New Jersey, at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa.
“It would just be the best reunion ever. But also everyone would literally lose their mind,” she continued. “He’d win [and] he’s a great dancer so I think he would be the perfect person.”
Emma, 36, agreed that Efron, 37, would undoubtedly take home the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy. “Yes, he’d win,” she nodded, before sharing her dream celebrity partner.
“Somebody I think would be phenomenal on the show is Andy Sanberg,” she told Us, noting she loved how comedic his dance moves were in Palm Springs. “He’s just so goofy but lovable and personable and he’s got good moves. I would want to dance with him.”
As they travel from city to city performing, the BFFs told Us they’ve grown even closer with other members of the tour, including gymnast Stephen Nedoroscik — who Emma is cohosting the show with — and pro Rylee Arnold.
“Last year, the girls were like big sisters for Rylee [on tour],” Britt told Us, noting she was even a similar age to Rylee’s sister, Lindsay Arnold, who was also on DWTS until September 2022. “I think we all felt like we needed to look after her a little bit for Lindsay. Now she’s really one of the girls. She’s not like a little sister.”
Emma and Britt gushed to Us that even being crammed on a tight tour bus couldn’t break the strong DWTS bond, which they refer to as “a family.”
“The best [part about the bus] is the fact that we get to spend every night eating meals together, watching TV together [and] playing games,” Emma said, adding that she and Britt get to feel like they’re “being children again” with their bunks across from each other. (In case you were wondering, their beds are even smaller than a twin size mattress.)
Britt also added that in addition to feeling like a family while on the road, they are traveling with an actual family — Daniella Karagach, Pasha Pashkov and their baby, Nikita, 19 months. “We get to be aunts and uncles for Nikita, which is so cute,” she smiled.
Daniella, 32, also gushed to Us that she loves traveling with Nikita.
“It makes me feel like I’m closer to home because I have my whole heart with me,” she said. “We’re also very lucky the cast is so good to her and she loves hanging out with everyone.”
Britt is also busy planning her wedding with fiancé, Daniel Durant, while on tour. “It’s been great to balance. I also think it keeps my mind fresh too — that I get to focus on this big moment in both Daniel and I’s life that we’re so looking forward to this year.”
Even though Daniel, 35, isn’t on the road with Britt, she says it’s still easy for the duo to stay connected.
“I don’t need it to be quiet [when we FaceTime] because we just communicate in ASL,” Britt explained. “He’s part of the family from afar.”
