Man City plotting move to sign “fantastic” record-breaking ace worth £34m

As Manchester City set their sights on progressing their rebuild, those at the Etihad have reportedly set their sights on signing a talented young winger who already has a record to his name.
Man City transfer news
The Citizens look destined to be among the busiest clubs this summer after hitting their worst form under Pep Guardiola since his first season in charge. The Premier League already received a preview of what that rebuild may look like during the January transfer window when Omar Marmoush, Vitor Reis, Abdukodir Khusanov and Juma Bah all arrived in what may just be the start.
Even after those arrivals, however, City’s struggles have continued alongside their injury problems. Just recently, having only just returned, Nathan Ake became the latest to be sidelined, revealing that he’s been playing through a fractured foot in what sums up the extent of his side’s issues throughout the current campaign.
It’s the type of problems which look set to signal a major overhaul this summer and that could yet see the arrival of one particular gem. According to The Boot Room, Manchester City are now plotting a move to sign Roger Fernandes, who holds the record for SC Braga’s youngest goalscorer after finding the back of the net at just 15 years old.

Now 19 years old, his rise has hardly slowed down and it will reportedly take a bid worth €40m (£34m) to prise the winger away from Portugal this summer amid interest from City, Manchester United and Liverpool.
“Fantastic” Fernandes is one to watch
Attracting interest from Manchester City, Liverpool and Manchester United, Fernandes could have quite the decision to make this summer regarding his future. As those at the Etihad look to rebuild, signing the teenager wouldn’t exactly be a bad start, especially given how positions within Guardiola’s frontline are more up for grabs than ever.
Jeremie Doku and Jack Grealish have both failed to cement their place this season, struggling to help Erling Haaland on the output front, and represent a drop-off in quality compared to Marmoush and Savinho.
In Portugal, meanwhile, Fernandes has been thriving for the last two seasons – earning the praise of Jacek Kulig
With five goals and five assists to his name, there’s no doubt that the 19-year-old is one to watch as he sets his sights on breaking more records – be it in the Premier League or in Portugal.
