Vroom: Nascar Fans Can Watch Races Through New Driver Cam Feature
Thrill-seeking Nascar fans will get a taste of what it’s like to be in the driver’s seat while watching this season’s races on Max. On Thursday, TNT Sports announced a new Driver Cam feature that’s exclusive to the streaming service, allowing viewers to see and hear what’s going on inside every driver’s car. It will be available via Max’s B/R Sports when the new season of Nascar kicks off on Feb. 2.
Along with a driver’s on-road live feed, you can listen to an “audio mix of scanner team radios and ambient car noise” that goes beyond what you’d get with a typical dash cam. Stats, speed, and RPM will be visible on the screen, and viewers will be able to rewind, fast forward or pause playback. Additionally, you can watch it all on replay.
Choose from up to 40 drivers during an event to follow an individual driver’s camera, or use Multiview to stream a preselected group of cams from four racecars. Fans can have a say in some Multiview picks by casting their votes in a weekly poll on B/R Sports’ Instagram and X accounts.
Viewers can keep an eye on the schedule on Max
The launch of Driver Cam is part of TNT Sports and Nascar’s new US multimedia distribution agreement that will last for seven years. Max offers other motorsports-themed content, including series such as 24 Hours of Le Mans, FIA World Endurance Championship and Nascar All In: Battle for Daytona.
