Fans Speculate Zendaya’s Tattoo Is Dedicated to Tom Holland

After sparking engagement rumors

on the red carpet at the 2025 Golden Globes, Zendaya set tongues wagging all over again.

Eagle-eyed fans who looked beyond Zenday’s sparkling ring on Sunday, January 5, took to social media to speculate over what appeared to be a small tattoo on the left side of her torso. Some claimed that the tattoo was of the letter T, serving as an ode to Zendaya’s boyfriend, Tom Holland.

One X user posted on Sunday, “Finding out that Zendaya has a tiny “t” tattoo and an engagement ring was not on my golden globes bingo card … I’m so happy for my girl.” Other fans agreed that Zendaya, 28, did indeed seem to be branded with a lowercase T.

However, the mark also resembled an anchor, as noted by another X user who posted an anchor emoji and questioned the marking’s true meaning. “Isn’t it this tho,” the user wrote.

Us Weekly has reached out to Zendaya’s representative for comment regarding the engagement rumors.

The Challengers star, who met Holland while working on 2016’s Spider-Man: Homecoming, attended the awards ceremony on her own. She was nominated in the category of Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for her role as Tashi Duncan in Challengers, but lost out to Demi Moore who starred in The Substance.

Zendaya started the night wearing a custom Louis Vuitton gown and Bulgari jewelry, but changed into a white halterneck dress once inside the ceremony. In a photo taken alongside The Bear’s Ayo Edebiri inside the event, the tattoo was no longer visible.

Zendaya and Holland kept their relationship a secret for several years, going public five years after they met when photos of the pair being affectionate in a car surfaced. After their relationship was confirmed, a source exclusively told Us at the time that the pair’s friendship played a pivotal role in taking their connection to the next level.

Zendaya and Holland have since shared sweet glimpses of their romance through the years. After being asked in February 2024 who from the Dune cast had the best “rizz,” Zendaya gave a sweet shout-out to Holland. “I don’t know. Rizz is short for charisma, right? Everybody’s kind of got their own,” Zendaya told Buzzfeed at the time. “I think someone who has beautiful charisma, not on the Dune cast, but personally works for me, is Mr. Tom Holland.”

As for the topic of tattoos, Zendaya stated in a 2020 interview with Allure that, “I love tattoos … but I don’t want any.”

For Holland’s part, the Marvel star is known to have a spider tattooed to his foot as a tribute to his ongoing role as Spiderman.
