In a December 2024 Instagram photo roundup from brother James Duggar, Jill, 33, was seen sitting next to her husband, Derick Dillard, on a brown sectional couch. The married couple, who wed in 2014, appeared to be speaking with Jim Bob, 59. Jill and Dillard’s three sons — Israel, Samuel and Freddie — were also lounging on the same sofa while opening presents.
Jill is one of the 19 children of Jim Bob and his wife, Michelle Duggar. The Counting On matriarch and patriarch also celebrated Christmas with kids Jessa, Jedidiah, John-David, Jeremiah, Jason and more.

“May you feel Jesus, the Prince of Peace, very near this holiday season,” she wrote via Instagram on December 26, 2024. “Over the last several days (and more still to come!) we celebrated some birthdays & our Savior’s birth at home together and with church family, friends and relatives.”
Jill and Dillard opted to take a step back from her family after leaving TLC’s Counting On in 2017 but are currently working on a relationship.
“I feel like we are in a rebuilding phase now with healthy boundaries still in place,” Jill said via her Instagram Story in November 2024. “We try to hang out whenever it works well and we have the bandwidth to navigate things.”
Nearly one year earlier, Jill said that she hadn’t seen her parents in a while.
Since 19 Kids and Counting skyrocketed Jill Duggar into the spotlight, she’s experienced plenty of ups and downs with her parents and siblings. “I’ve heard that they did [read my Counting the Cost memoir],” she said on the “Unplanned” podcast in January 2024, referring to her autobiography that was published in September 2023. “I heard they, like, listened to it on audiobook or something. I don’t know. … They’re my parents and I’m gonna tread lightly.”
According to Jill, she didn’t want to “create more controversy” with her extended family.
“It’s kind of like when you get together at the holidays, and there are just certain things that you don’t, like, just want to bring up,” she explained. “It’s probably a sore subject. … It just is not the healthiest way to go about it. So we’re still on the road to figuring things out.”
Jill has since been spotted at various family gatherings with her mom and sisters, most of whom also still live in Arkansas. Jill and Dillard even traveled to Nebraska and Tennessee last year for the respective weddings of siblings Jana, 34, and Jason, 24.
