Everton tell club they will sign £12m star to join them at Bramley Moore

Everton have come alive under David Moyes and now look likely to retain their top-flight status, enabling the Toffees to fully indulge in the excitement of their move to Bramley Moore Dock from Goodison Park.
Everton’s new dawn could draw in exciting summer arrivals
Trials and tribulations have dominated the last few years for Everton, but they finally seem to be on an upward trajectory helped in no small part by David Moyes’ excellent run of results since succeeding Sean Dyche.
Incredibly, the Scot has taken a squad that looked destined for a relegation dogfight on a seven-match unbeaten run in the Premier League. Wolverhampton Wanderers await this weekend at Molineux, and a victory for the visitors on Saturday night could take them 18 points above the relegation zone.
Dropping into the Championship isn’t a topic on the agenda in Merseyside. Now, there is more emphasis on bidding Goodison Park a stirring farewell after Everton’s 133 years at one of the world’s most recognisable grounds.
New eras come with a sense of excitement and trepidation, though it feels like Everton are ready to turn over a new leaf on and off the field. Financially, the Blues will have better resources to work with by virtue of the Friedkin Group clearing a significant portion of the club’s £600 million debt.
According to reports, Moyes is keen on a reunion with West Ham midfielder Tomas Soucek. Smart additions may be needed to evade PSR, so it wouldn’t be a surprise to see some experienced names arrive alongside a younger core to bolster squad depth at Finch Farm.

Nevertheless, the Toffees are entering a period of stability that was sorely absent during Farhad Moshiri’s later years in charge. With the summer around the corner, Everton are making swift progress on wrapping up a permanent addition.
Everton tell Flamengo they want to sign Carlos Alcaraz
Back in January, Flamengo midfielder Carlos Alcaraz was Everton’s only arrival at Goodison Park on an initial loan deal that can become permanent for a fee of roughly £12 million should the Argentinian make an undisclosed amount of Premier League appearances.
Becoming an instant cult hero, the La Plata born star has made a real impression under Moyes in his five outings, registering the winner against Crystal Palace and an assist in the same fixture.

Everton are going to need to make some changes to David Moyes’ squad this summer.
Now, Torcida Flamengo, via Sport Witness, report that the Toffees have told Flamengo they want to sign Alcaraz regardless of any clauses included in his agreement.
Alcaraz is reported to be a fan of Everton’s style of play and sees the new stadium as the best place to play his football. Moyes has been won over by his performances and now wants to ensure a permanent stay is found.
Torcida Flamengo claim his clause will activate should the midfielder make six league starts, or contribute at least 45 minutes per match, between now and the end of the season. Either way, there is now growing evidence that he will be at Finch Farm for the start of pre-season.
