Every ‘DWTS’ Pro Who Has Won the Mirrorball More Than Once
Even more impressively, her two wins came in the span of only eight seasons — she also won in season 26 with Adam Rippon — the fewest number of total seasons out of anyone to win DWTS more than once.
“I’m just so, so grateful. This has been my favorite season ever,” Johnson gushed after her season 33 win. “To be able to share this moment with Joey, and now have one of these [trophies] that we get to share forever is insane.”
Seven other pros have won it all multiple times. Derek Hough has hoisted the Mirrorball six times (his sister, Julianne Hough, has done it twice).Meanwhile, Johnson’s husband, Valentin Chmerkovskiy, has three trophies.

Derek Hough
The Dancing With the Stars GOAT conversation begins and ends with Derek, who has won the Mirrorball with Brooke Burke (season 7), Nicole Scherzinger (season 10), Jennifer Grey (season 11), Kellie Pickler (season 16), Amber Riley (season 17) and Bindi Irwin (season 21).
Derek retired from the show after season 23 and returned as a judge for season 29.
Mark Ballas
Ballas was a mainstay on Dancing With the Stars from seasons 5 to 22, winning the show twice in that span — both times with Olympic athletes. He took home the title with former figure skater Kristi Yamaguchi in season 6, then with ex-gymnast Shawn Johnson in season 8. He returned to the franchise in season 25, then picked up his third win in season 31, when he was paired with Charli D’Amelio.
Valentin Chmerkovskiy
Chmerkovskiy first appeared on Dancing With the Stars in season 2 but didn’t appear as a pro until season 13. He picked up his first win in season 20 alongside Rumer Willis and followed that up in season 23 by winning with gymnast Laurie Hernandez. His most recent win came in 2023’s season 32 with Xochitl Gomez.
Cheryl Burke
Burke, a two-time winner, won the Mirrorball Trophy in her first two attempts: season 2 with Drew Lachey and season 3 with Emmitt Smith. She has appeared on the show 23 times since then. Burke placed second in seasons 8 and 13 and third an additional four times.
Julianne Hough
Similar to Burke, Julianne won her first two seasons She appeared on seasons 4 through 8, winning 4 and 5 with Apolo Ohno and Hélio Castroneves, respectively.
Jenna Johnson
Jenna didn’t begin competing on DWTS until season 23, but she has made up for lost time with two wins in the eight years since her debut. In addition to winning with Rippon in season 26 and Graziadeiin season 33, she also has a pair of second-place finishes to her name, meaning she has made it to the finale in half her overall appearances.
Kym Johnson
It took Kym Johnson a few tries to get that elusive title, but she finally claimed her first Mirrorball Trophy on her seventh season, partnering with Donny Osmond for season 9. Just two appearances later, she did it again, winning with Hines Ward in season 12. She also won the Australian version of Dancing With the Stars in season 2.
Peta Murgatroyd
Murgatroyd made her debut as a member of the DWTS professional cast in season 13 but was eliminated with partner Metta World Peace on night one. She bounced back the next year, winning season 14 with Donald Driver. She won again with Nyle DiMarco in season 22.
